"Bujang Senang" - Myth of a giant white Crocodile.

Location: Batang Lupar River at Sri Aman, the 2nd District of Sarawak in Malaysia.  There is a myth of a giant white crocodile ruling the Lupar river. Bidayuh natives called it the "Bujang Senang".

With a distinct white back, this crocodile was seen a few times and yet never been caught. The natives claimed that it was twice the size of "Dayang Fatimah" shown.

(Length:19 feet long, Waist: 8 feet, Age: Hundred year old, 3 feet wide)
On 22nd of May, 1992, a five feet native young girl, aged 15,  was bathing along the river coast, a stream which was 100 yards inland. Depth=Four feet.

Suddenly, a timber log floated in fast... Then,  big splashes... bone crunching... a very load but instant scream... She was swollen in few seconds. The river was filled with blood... Then, a huge shadow slowly swam towards the river coast; 100 yards away.

All her friends were stunned, screamed and ran back for help. All the village men immediately carried gun and long axes rushed to hunt the crocodile. Provoked, the crocodile went ashore tried to attack the hunters. Grabbing the chance, All the men swamped in and managed to kill it. It took bullets and chops on the heads to stop. One bullet was found only 1 inch down the skin.

The poor girl was found intact in its stomach... Dead...

Over the years, few giant crocodiles were caught along the Batang Lupar river. All the sizes should be crowned in the world record books. One was kept alive at our local Kuching's Jong's Crocodile farm. Come to Kuching and see the size for yourself... You have to see it to believe it...
